The objective for this position is to create a business model for used car trading in U.S. GLOVIS will acquire used vehicles from OEMs or dealers prior to reaching auction. Once GLOVIS has obtained these vehicles the National Manager of Used Car Trading will be required successfully trade them in the marketplace. The position must possess extensive knowledge and experience in dealing with used cars as well as a full understanding of the industry, trend and market players. The primary responsibility of this position will be to develop and implement a business plan for submission to the GLOVIS management team and to execute the plan once approved.
GLOVIS is a global logistics service provider for the OEMs such as Hyundai/Kia, GM, Honda, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Develop the vision and direction of the used auto trading. Prepare annual and mid-range business plans, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and projections.
Coordinate cost-efficient logistics for the transportation of used cars, promote cost-saving opportunities throughout the trading process. Develop new customer relationships, business strategies in order to maximize profitability.
Train and develop, lead and motivate employees to become an integral part of the GLOVIS team
Explore to acquire used auto trading business available in the market place
Supervise daily operation of the used car business including logistics, business development, and business planning.
Prospect new wholesale customers to become more competitive in the market.
Manage and develop staff, provide feedback and keep .team on task
Report progress reports to the management periodically.
Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions and prepare contracts for purchases and sales.
Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual customers and their accomplishments.
Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new business with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials and goals with company objectives and investment limits.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Business, MBA or Graduate degree desired, or combination of related education and work experience
Overall Related Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience required with new and used cars trading, (including business development, preparation of business plan and goals), and claims, warranties, financing associated with trading.
Directly Related Experience: Working knowledge of the auto industry (wholesale and or retail trading in U.S. or international, auto inspection, auto repairs, pricing used cars (i.e., Kellys Blue Book, industry standards), familiar with DMV registration and process, and federal and local laws and regulations for selling autos
Extensive knowledge and experience in used auto industry
Excellent written and verbal communications skills required
Ability to analyze business plans and financial data at a high level
Licensed to trade autos
Individual must be able to logically and systematically work through problems, ability to lead and motivate the team members.
PC skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and database management software for auto industry
