Overview

Responsible for interacting with members with regard to Quality and Risk Management issues; serve as the primary contact for Risk Management and Quality Management issues for PADI members; assist in the development and review of Quality and Risk Management procedures for PADI programs and materials as well as for PADIs corporate activities and affiliates; create risk management training tools e.g. DVD, including management, creation, control and reporting of associated budget. Attend regional Quality Management Advisory Committee meetings, and provide support to other departments on quality and risk management issues.Supports the four corporate primary objectives: safe & responsible diver acquisition and retention; quality member acquisition and retention; financial prosperity; worldwide alignment in message, products, systems and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Quality Management Prioritize, develop and track the timely turnaround of verbal, written and electronic inquiries for the department regarding quality and risk management issues Handle and resolve quality management cases

  • Risk Management ? Write and assist in the submission of quality and risk management articles through various PADI publications as requested Review and process incident reports Develop, plan, coordinate marketing and conduct risk management seminars and webinars as required Field calls from members concerning quality and risk management issues such as release forms, business procedures and protocols, insurance requirements etc. Assist in the preparation of status reports for WW Quality Management Committee regarding diving incidents, litigation and insurance matters Assist in the review and development of risk management forms for various publications Provide administrative assistance in relation to insurance matters and incidents

  • Qualification Requirements

    Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum four years teaching experience as a PADI Instructor
  • Minimum four years experience in administration
  • Education and/or experience in legal/legislative area is an advantage
  • Highly analytical, with excellent communications skills, organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as incident reports, legislative reports, subpoenas and legal pleadings. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Ability to understand, organize and prepare statistical analysis of complex, sensitive and confidential information.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to understand and organize complex, sensitive and confidential information. Sensitivity to emotional aspects of claims and litigation matters. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

    Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

  • PADI Staff instructor or higher
  • Possess either Australian citizenship or necessary work documents to work and reside in Australia
  • Valid drivers license
  • Other Skills and Abilities

  • High degree of computer literacy
  • Dedication to excellent customer service
  • Absolute confidentiality required; sensitivity to emotional aspects of claims and litigation matters
  • Professional attitude and telephone manner
  • Ability to handle several priorities at once with attention to detail and time requirements
  • Strong organization and project management/development skills; require minimal supervision
  • Excellent administrative skills, grammar, spelling and letter composition
  • Understanding of international cultures and the ability to speak another language is a plus.
  • Strong public speaking abilities.
