Enterprise Information Technology s (EIT) vision is to provide Wells Fargo world leading technology risk management. Through a framework that addresses policy, process, operations, people, and technology, EIT protects Wells Fargo s infrastructure, corporate data, and customer assets, and ensures alignment with applicable regulations and laws.

We have an excellent opportunity for an Operational Risk Consultant in Enterprise Information Technology. In this new role you will be responsible for ensuring EIT is monitoring and assessing its portfolio of risk associated with operational risk disciplines (i.e., Model Risk, Information Security, Fraud, etc). The work conducted by this person will be considered sensitive. Candidates will need to be able to become EIT s subject matter expert for multiple operational risk areas. Candidates will need to represent EIT s interests to the Enterprise groups responsible for creating the operational risk policies and programs related to operational risk. This person will also need to be able to articulate Enterprise requirements to stakeholders within EIT, and create internal policies and procedures that reflect EIT s standards above-and-beyond what is required by the Enterprise. This person will also be responsible for monitoring EIT s portfolio of operational risk within certain disciplines and reporting on the adequacy of EIT s compliance with requirements through various forums and committees. Monitoring of risk will include periodic deep-dive assessments that this person will conduct.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Knowledge and understanding of information security risk assessment procedures, risk mitigation or remediation
  • Ability to learn and assimilate information from multiple people and sources
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in a technology environment within the last 8 years
  • Previous risk assessment experience within the last 5 years
  • Experience assessing technology programs
  • Understanding of Wells Fargo operational risk programs
  • Degree in Technology or related field
  • Related certification (e.g. CISSP, CISA, GIAC, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with peers, engineers, administrators and various levels of management
